So i was servicing the fans on my old machine just to make sure it doesnt burn up pulled off the cpu fan all the intake exaust fans and lubed them up good cleaned out the dust etc. Anyways i fire up the thing windows runs for like 5 min and then it restarts posts tries to boot but cant, i try 2 more times nothing. I have a temp reader in one of my bays and i was like wtf is it getting hot or something to find out my cpu temp is 95*C i immedietly pulled the power plug opened up the side door to find a heatball comming to my face and the fan melted on the heatsink
I put the fan the wrong way on and it was not cooling it. I let it cool off a lil bit flipped the fan around boom works. I did never think that these processors can handle ~90*C and not fry.
