Hi guys I have a Thermaltake Tough Power 650 PSU have had no problems but yesterday for fun i ran ASUS PC Probe 2 and I saw the Vcore starts out at 1.28V then after 5 sec or so it drops to 1.14V and a warning message pops up. I was wondering if this is some kind of power saving thing when the CPU is not under load or something like that or if my PSU is not working properly?

CPU is Intel E6700
ASUS Commando board
OCZ PC2-8500 DDR2

Thanks just want to make sure there is nothing to be concerned about because don't want to waste money for PSU if it is not neeeded.

That is most likely due to Vdroop and has nothing to do with the PSU. The Toughpower 650W is a good quality CWT-manufactured PSU which is more than capable of handling the power requirements of your computer.

wow that is a pretty terrible vdroop... i thought most dropped only about .05v at load?

Thanks guys I will keep using it until i notice any problems and maybe all is ok hopefully :)
