At the X Games Aspen this week, Intel will embed the Intel® Curie™ compute module onto snowboards during the Men's Snowboard Slopestyle and Men's Snowboard Big Air competitions. The technology will help provide a new perspective into amazing athletic feats accomplished by instantly sharing insights on how fast competitors move, their force on landing, and even how many degrees they rotate in the air. The data will be integrated into the broadcast to enhance the fan experience.
 
Wow, that thing is tiny. I'm curious how it stacks up with the usual suspects for wearables in powerdraw-to-performance ratio.

It's nice to see Intel continue to expand their product line.

And I'm also glad they didn't give it the name of an asshat (*cough*Edison*cough*).
