Yahoo Now Warns Users If They Are Targets Of State-Sponsored Attacks

It's nice to see Yahoo finally join the rest of the world in warning its users when they are targets of state-sponsored attacks. Yahoo says it continues to refine its process of detecting state-sponsored threats and remains "committed keeping your account safe from unauthorized access."

We’re committed to protecting the security and safety of our users, and we strive to detect and prevent unauthorized access to user accounts by third parties. As part of this effort, Yahoo will now notify you if we strongly suspect that your account may have been targeted by a state-sponsored actor. We’ll provide these specific notifications so that our users can take appropriate measures to protect their accounts and devices in light of these sophisticated attacks.

They used to not tell users if their accounts were being attacked or compromised... that's nice.

Who cares of it is "state sponsored", shouldn't they be notifying them regardless?
