ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced Swift PG279Q and Swift PG27AQ gaming displays with 27-inch IPS panels for wide 178-degree viewing angles and rich, bright colors. ROG Swift PG279Q delivers 2K/WQHD (2560 x 1440) visuals while ROG Swift PG27AQ has an astounding 4K/UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution. Both displays feature NVIDIA® G-SYNC™ technology to eliminate screen tearing, minimize stuttering, and reduce input lag. ROG Swift PG279Q is also the world’s first display with a 165Hz refresh rate for incredibly-smooth gaming visuals. Both displays have Ultra-Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technologies to protect users’ eyes during marathon gaming sessions. In addition, ASUS-exclusive enhancements like GamePlus and GameVisual technologies give users an advantage in the gaming arena.

when should we expect these to be available for sale?

edit: "he ASUS ROG PG279Q will go on sale next month. Price is set at $700 for this model. "

What is the lag like on these IPS ROG displays?

the PG279Q should have similar lag to the PG278Q which is about 4 ms, if not the XB270HU which shares the same panel and has 3 ms of lag. afaik lag has to do with the stuff inbetween the panel itself and your graphics card though so can't say for sure, can't speak for the PG27AQ.

90 days really didn't see that anywhere?

Its a joke since most of this generations only last less than 6 months, if they even work out of the box. Its about as good as getting an oem drive from newegg in terms of quality assurance.

Yeah, I asked because I have an Asus VS24AH-P rated at 5ms and the lag isn't much better than an LG plasma.
