The fallout over the Ashley Madison hack continues as the CEO of Avid Life Media steps down today.

In a statement forwarded to press minutes ago, ALM announced that Biderman is stepping down. “Until the appointment of a new CEO, the company will be led by the existing senior management team,” the statement reads. The decision was apparently made by Biderman “in mutual agreement with the company.”

Trust has been broken (Ironically), facts have come out, the site is mostly men. At this point it will be a spiral downward until the company (at least this branch of it) no longer exists.

Avid media is one of the biggest players in the porn industry if I remember correctly.

IF the parent company knew of the shenanigans of AM, then even if AM was a LLC, then Avid media could be subject to a lawsuit, and all bets are off.

The Avid Media document shredding will make Clinton's email server shredding look like a fisher price toy in comparison.

Raise your hand if you didn't see this coming.

(Looks around, doesn't see any hands in the air)

Yup, that's what I thought. :p

Avid Life Media has nothing to do with the porn industry. There's no porn industry in Toronto.
Perhaps you're thinking of Vivid?

I can't imagine any employee there not spending his days sending out resumes. If I were doing any business with them I would demand cash up front. That ship has hit the iceberg and will soon be under for good.

Those are just fancy words for Escort Service. Still a form of an 'Affair Service', so it is all good.

I'm actually surprised it's taken this long for executive fallout to happen. The 1st data dump should have been enough to start the stepping down.

Funny is that they were saying in various articles that the site is just as alive as ever and still getting thousands of new subscribers every day. So doesn't sound like anyone really cares enough to stop using it. So they won't go under just yet.

It's worse than the porn industry...

Notch needs to be all up in this website.

"I have 3 seats left on my G6 to Monte Carlo, all expenses paid...who wants to come with me?"

Ashley Madison's 'parent company'. Given the kind of business the company was in one would have to ask, who is your daddy?

Makes sense to me, there's no turning around at this point. Cash in and get out before the lawsuits start to land. :p
