Awww man that brings back memories, I remember using Archie, and Lynx to browse webpages (needless to say I wasn't terribly impressed with the early world wide web )

I do find it funny though 1 billion webpages but 5.3 trillion display ads were served, so on average every website is responsible for pushing 5300 ads. I think the number of internet users is about 2billlion or so, so the reality is every year you get hit with over 2650 ads, or just over 7 ads per day, every day. Its no wonder ad blocking software is so prevalent.

pretty cool article. Makes a lot of us feel so old now too.

I don't know when my uncle was using a 600 baud modem and a 286 pc for his dirty stuff back in the early 80s.

HD porn just doesn't work for me. I want big ass pixels.
