Dean Kamen, the inventor behind the Segway has come through again with a robotic prosthetic limb that has just won FDA approval. The prosthetic limb is a DARPA funded project in conjunction with Dean Kamen’s DEKA Research and Development Corporation.
 
Very cool. The interface with the feet is a little odd but I guess we're not quite up to tapping directly into nerves or the brain yet.
 
Only thing cooler would be Luke Skywalker's seal of approval stamped on it somewhere. :cool:

I think stuff like this is awesome.
