Facebook Retires Its Troubled Email Service

To be honest, if it wasn't for the fact that Facebook tried to force everyone to use its e-mail service, most of us wouldn't have known it even existed in the first place.

Facebook is retiring its email service and has begun notifying users that all email sent to their @facebook.com address will soon be forwarded to their primary email address on file. Facebook users can turn off the forwarding feature, which is on by default.

They attempted to force everyone to use the email a while back by auto creating one for your account and then applying it in your settings. Most who realised what was going on just removed it from their page.
