The introduction of the world’s first Braille smartphone is a welcomed addition and one that is well overdue. Phone designer Sumit Dagar has developed a phone that utilizes a series of metal pins that respond to sent messages or texts to form the Braille words. The production is underway and expected release date is the end of 2013.

That's something I have always wondered about smart phones. What happens if you suffer an injury that leaves you unable to see? You would not be able to call for help. :(

Crap, hit post instead of go advanced.

I was joking. I know people with all sorts of disabilities (myself and family included).

Seriously, this is good for those who have less choices to communicate with, and are also more vulnerable than the rest of us due to blindness.

Very cool stuffs. I know a blind guy who works with blind people over computer software issues (the speaking/voice software mostly) and this will certainly peak his interest.

I wonder if for porn on a Braille smartphone its one big dot that erects and if its not ..then perhaps a hole signifying ...something else.

;)

Your life would be in Siri's hands...

You'd use siri or things similar to that. Braille wouldn't help you anyway... unless, of course, you understood it.
