I have 3 of these and love them. I paid significantly less than this though. I bought 2 from Office Depot with a price match from Staples for $130 after tax and no rebates. I bought my 3rd from Newegg for $135 (no rebate) sometime before Christmas.

Yeah, I bought Kingston HyperX 3K drives for $60 before Xmas, but it seems prices have gone back up a little on them. I'm debating on buying one of these 240-256GB SSD's and selling my 2x128GB Crucial M4's to buy a 2nd 240GB+ drive.

why aren't there any good ssd deals anymore? Without the rebate this would be ok.

The good deals were a result of price wars to force out smaller competitors.

And all the new model releases inclusive of the price gouging that comes with them because "oooh, shiny!".

I bought this exact drive a year ago for the same price (no MIR though so that was nice) was some sort of buy.com promotion.

It's a very solid drive - fast as hell with capacity to boot!

I own the same drive in my main rig. I think I purchased it for $159.99 with no MIR, and I have an extra unused one that I paid $139.99 on Black Friday. It is a lightning fast drive, and I am very pleased with it.
