The Internet blackout in Syria is over, but remained out for two days. On Friday Google and Twitter rolled out their Speak2Tweet service again to insure that Syrians would have a world voice just as they did in Egypt during the Arab Spring.
The service, which allows users to send a tweet by phone, was first rolled out last year in order to help netizens in Egypt communicate despite former president Mubarak’s decision to cut the internet there for several days.
