27" LED monitor advice

Hello

I purchased a Dell U2713HM monitor and after having it only a day I noticed that it made a buzzing noise depending on what was being displayed on the screen. The loudness of the buzzing also changed depending on what was on the screen. I have sent it back and will be getting a refund for it. Its a pity as the visual quality was absolutely amazing.

Anyway, I am now unsure of what to get next. I don't want to get another Dell as I have read that other people are experiencing this buzzing noise too. I don't want to have to keep sending the monitor back until I get one that is quiet/silent.

I have been researching 27" LED monitors and came across the Viewsonic VP2770-LED.

The question I have is, is this a good monitor? The reviews seem good. Will this monitor also buzz? Do all 27" monitors buzz?

Like I said to their technical support, I find it hard to believe that such a high end and expensive monitor like the Dell would make such a noise. No flat panel monitor I have used at work has ever buzzed.

Thanks for any help. :D

Any display can buzz. The Viewsonic is great, it has the best out-of-the-box colours out of all the 27" 1440p displays except for the Samsung S27B970D (it's reflective) which is about equal...ignore the input lag results they are wrong.

2560x1440 IPS/PLS panels with extra inputs and scalers have around 17ms of input lag.

Any display can buzz.

This is what worries me, I don't want to spend all this money on a high end monitor only to have it buzzing all day long. I have a built a super quiet computer (I can't even tell its on as its so silent) so when the Dell monitor started buzzing I noticed it straight away.

What can I expect from the Viewsonic monitor from a noise point of view?

With the Dell, some people said theirs buzzed while others said it was 100% silent.
