$15 Perc 5/i mod

Just wanted to show off a simple mod here, taken from some tips that other people posted throughout the net, but no one ever did pictures.

I had some bare Perc 5/i's i pulled out of some older servers for free, put a little money into them and I should be able to use them for home use. You read that these cards get hot, and need server-style airflow (Read, WHIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR)

I found the correct brackets so I could mount them in PCI slots here, and upgraded the stock heat sink on the processor with this

The north bridge heatsink came with a thermal pad, which is probably mediocre, but it should serve the purpose.

With some effort and bending I reused the silver metal clamping bracket that came with the old heatsink. I feel pretty good that it won't randomly fall off one day and overheat.
