Google is planning to double its server capacity in Oklahoma by building a new facility next to its data center. The company says fifty new jobs will be created by expanding the facility.

The new facility will be built next to the $600 million data center Google opened near Pryor last fall, said data center operations manager Mike Wooten. Google will hire employees to work on deployment of servers and equipment maintenance, and is looking primarily for local residents to fill the positions, he said.

I applied there and got to the third round to get the job but they wanted to pay $13 an hour to run cable and change HDD, fix servers among other stuff. Plus it is temp jobs. I did not see any permanent job openings. and it's in the middle of no where Oklahoma with no help to move there. I was happy to go work for them until they told me how much they are paying and that it was a temp job. Oh well. I hope they find people I am sure they will.
