[DEAD] 9 hours of Bach for $ .99 at Amazon

Thanks OP. These classical music promos from Amazon are fantastic!

No Lady Gaga deals? I'll pass.

In all seriousness, it's a pity when young folks these days don't know what classical music is.

Downloaded mine a day or two ago....can't beat it for .99 cents.

Thanks, Lethal. Don't care for any of the stuff with people singing but a lot of the stuff in minor keys is pretty good. Well worth the .99. Didn't hurt that I got a $2 credit code from Amazon like 5 minutes before I saw this thread. ;)

You spelled Beck wrong in your title. It's Beck, Johann Sebastian. He was a composer back in the 1990's (aka the grunge or baroque period)... Most people probably remember the Sonata Devil's Haircut in D Major. Hehe j/k but I think its amazing all the interest. Classical...

Thanks. A decent collection to have for less than a buck. Picked one up for myself and gifted one to my buddy.

We could not process your order. The sale of MP3 Downloads is currently available only to US customers located in the United States.

I listened to some of the samples. You get what you pay for. The "English Chamber Orchestra" isn't a bad group, but not exactly suited for Bach in my opinion. The Vienna State Opera Orchestra (although a great group) is too heavy for Bach. The soloists are decent but they don't have the Baroque style down correctly.

It's a good 'introduction to Bach' set, but if you want to dig deeper find what you like from this set and find better groups that perform them.

For comparison, compare track 90 of this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/dmusic/med...ack&ASIN=B007MS6NC2&CustomerID=A22XIYJY7R865E

To the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra:

You'll see the VSOO is very heavy, while the ABO is very light and much more Baroque.

Valkhorn, do you have any recommendations for classical music albums?

Thank you OP.

Like others I have a credit from Amazon that was burning a hole in my pocket.

I am not a music lover like you, but I definitely see what you mean between the two performances. I guess like you say it's a good intro and I suppose I'll look further into other performances to tracks that really move me. Thanks for bringing that up.

Not sure if I'll ever list to this all but for $0.99 I cant pass it up

I don't drink wine with my pinkie raised in the air but I do enjoy most types of music is some form or another. Most weekend mornings when I wake up (before my wife) and jump on my PC and listen to the Final Fantasy shoutcast channel. Alot of what you hear there is classical in nature so real classical is not far off to listen to.

Only a close minded person that is willing to miss out on the miracle of humanity and what it offers would not be interested in this collection.

Just my two Lincolns.

I've got one more Bach gift available.

PM me with your email and the remaining one is yours.

If your a college student check your email. I just got another of the $2 music credits yesterday.

Great offer. I'm more of a romantic era Russian composer fan myself.

Nice deal.

Some of this music will work out well for FPS gaming. :)

Thanks for the comparison.

To me the audio quality recording seemed much better as well.
