I doubt you need to decide much between the hx and ax. If you need this, buy it. I've got two. Both have been nothing but rock stable solid and both are very, very quiet. I "pushed" one to about 600W for a while while doing some bench clocking, and it just laughed at me.
 
That is indeed a good deal. I have one and it has been nothing but perfect for me, if I could justify the purchase I would get another one in a heartbeat.
