Yahoo Labs Head Raghavan Departing to Google

Another top executive is leaving Yahoo amid speculation of upcoming budget cuts to the company, especially in the area of research and development. Prabhakar Raghavan, who was the head of Yahoo Labs has taken a position with Google in an unknown capacity. Raghavan has been with Yahoo for the past seven years.

As head of Yahoo Labs, Raghavan’s research arena has been extensive, encompassing everything from data mining to algorithms to search.
