I can't get single monitor or multi-screen eyefinity to register any res over 800x600. It lets me move the slider in the options menu but my choice does not register.

Is this me or does anybody else have this issue?

EDIT THIS SOLVED IT!
1) rename paul.dll to paul.old

2) right click game in steam library, select properties.
Click button labled "set launch options"

enter this:
-norestrictions -nomemrestrict

You have to edit the cfg file to get more resolutions. Its a crap console port. Anyway you can google for the solution.

Thanks, but Google search reveals nothing...a link would be nice.

Anyway I hope your not referring to this cause this doesn't work at all:
Step 1) Open Steam Games List
Step 2) Right Click GTA IV and select 'Properties'
Step 3) Select 'Launch Options'

from there you can use the command lines to tweak the game

Ive got the retail version myself, and i use the following command lines

-width 1280 -height 1024 -shadowdensity 0 -viewdistance 10 -texturequality 0 -renderquality 0 -detailquality 10 -nomemrestrict

Doesn't steam reset updated configs each time the game is launched unless you launch it without Steam? I have the same shitty ass problem with Fallout: NV.

same issue here, op.

i think its something to do with the game not recognizing the vram correctly on the card.
