Unwanted sound ducking (not as easy as you think)

When I'm in TeamSpeak, every time I talk, or someone else talks, my sound in games, AIMP2 music player, etc drops. At a guess, maybe 50%. The sound level of the voices in Teamspeak does not drop. A few seconds after everyone is done talking, the sound level rises again.

I know there's a setting under Windows 7 that lets you choose to duck 50%, 80%, mute or DO NOTHING. I have it set to DO NOTHING, but it steadfastly refuses to do so, or so it appears.

I've tried altering this setting and applying it, but it doesn't change. For example, I set it to "Mute all other sounds" and it did not change. I set it back to "DO NOTHING", and it did not change.

Is there a setting in windows I'm missing, or a setting within Teamspeak 3, or in the Realtek Audio Manager? Is there a registry setting I can fix to stop this?

You just need to turn off ducking in Teamspeak. It's in Settings -> Plugins -> Volume Control.

I don't have a chance to test it right now, but I found the setting and changed it. I believe you're right, though, thank you very much. Apparently it WAS as easy as you think, and for that, I'm glad.

I had the chance to test it, and yeah, it's fixed. I checked the standard TS OPTIONS time after time, but had neglected the PLUGINS section. Many, many thanks for your help.
