Apple's Magic Trackpad update requires 10.6.4, but you can install it on previous versions.
Go here and download the update:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1066
Go here and download Pacifist:
http://www.charlessoft.com/
Run Pacifist and drag the update Pkg into it.
Hit install from the Pacifist menu.
Reboot and enjoy your Magic Trackpad.
This is great for those of us who want gaming performance (non-10.6.4) and a Magic Trackpad.
Next to figure out: How to enable the thumb buttons on a Logitech mouse without installing USB Overdrive. Having USB Overdrive installed means the Magic Trackpad doesn't use Apple's drivers, so no multi-touch.
