I've heard through a newegg review that the new Thuban chips will work in the Asus M4A790XTD. Anybody else have this board and one of the Thuban CPU's with the latest bios (2001)? I'd like to hear more info before I get a 1090T.

Asus has released new BIOS for just about all of the M4 motherboards. If you have the latest BIOS, it will support it. They even gave support to my AM2+ M4A79 Deluxe.

Got my 1090T and works very well! Overclocks like a dream, and am able to disable turbo core. The coolest thing about turbo core is that with overdrive you can set the amount of cores and speed of Turbo-Core, Right now I have mine @ 4.3 Ghz (it's freaking ridiculous how much headroom this has, not since my Q6600 have I been this impressed), before I had it at 3.8Ghz with Turbo-Core to kick in when 4 cores are active and had it run at 4.2 Ghz....works great with this board...Though I've heard of weird issues with overclocking with the 1055T on this board.
