Processor is E3300.
45nm Dual Core
2.5 ghz
12.5x multipler
1 mb L2 cache
800 mhz FSB
Intel VT
Pretty much it is identical to e5200 but it has 1 mb L2 cache vs 2 mb L2 that the e5200 has. For office and encoding you won't care. For games you will.
Another way to think of this is that it is identical to the Pentium dual core laptop processor t4400 except it is a 2.5 ghz part instead of the t4400 being a 2.2 ghz part.

For Comparison

Newegg has the processor for 53.99+free shipping

Newegg has the motherboard for 44.99+2.99 shipping

Motherboard page

Micro ATX size

DDR2 memory, 2 ram slots

PCI Express x16 1
PCI Slots 2
PATA 1 x ATA100 2 Dev. Max
SATA 3Gb/s 4
----------------------------------------

Price is 44.99-10 Mail in Rebate=44.99 After Rebate

So in sum you are saving 56.98 - Tax in your area. (101.97 Newegg-44.99 Frys-Tax)

If you do the mail in rebate the quantity is 66.98-Tax.

Effectively you are getting the motherboard free and it has a small discount on the processor as well.

I woke up extra early for Fry's 8AM opening for this combo haha. I think this should sell out fast, About 5 people ahead of me also got this combo. From my previous experience with similar deal at similar price, they sell out within the first day. This is at the City of Industry (CA) Fry's.

Oh while you normally don't get that good of overclocks with cheap boards, you do not have to do anything like a pencil mod to achieve 300, 333, or 400 fsb with this board (like you have to do with some competitor g31 boards). Instead there is literally a fsb switch, according to the manual.

Unfortunately it doesn't tell me what control if any do you have over the voltages.

0 voltage adjustment
FSB control through BIOS

I have a e3200 on this board running 3.2ghz stock voltage. Runs rock solid.

Oh yea, i went down to Renton Frys, sold out :(

anyone wanna pick one up for me and ill pay ya? ill pay what u pay + shipping u keep rebate?

NO FRYS in COLORADO :(

There is no dip switch on this board, btw. I'll check voltage options tonight when I get home. I've sold a couple of these already, and have one currently on the bench for a friend.

Just called MB (CA), they're sold out of the MSI board, but they do have Biostar boards for the same deal (but they're all open box).

According to the manual the board some boards should have it

I know, I've read the manual, and the half-dozen P21 boards I've come across don't have the dipswitch, as I said earlier. The manual is shared with multiple models, so I'm guessing its the higher end models with the dipswitch. As you can see from Newegg's images, there is no dipswitch:

Just googled for the G31TM-P35 images, and it has the dipswitch. :p BTW, the manual is shared between the P21/P25/P31/P35 models, all of which are in the G31TM-Pxx line.

Went after work today. OOS.

Prolly just as well, FRYs has really been taping my wallet these days with all of these insanely priced combos under $50.

Just picked one of these up for my Mom has Cell in bios so just upped fsb running 3.0 ghz at stock volts. Super deal.
