I'm not even sure how a second generation PPU would outperform or differ from first generation PPU with a PC game tooled for minimum requirements.
Maybe PPUs will start off as a 4-5 year investments until a company changes the nature of physics gaming totally like what Nvidia did to 3dFX.
Take advantage of the lifetime warranty from a BFG or PNY used card....
I agree with the ti4XXX series. If you have a decent computer system, it should run admirably on recent games with some features turned off.

Damn :( ...my system has a heating problem (though common with other users I've read too). I run 66 degrees idle UNclocked with a vertex shader unlocked. On a max load I can run around the 90s overclocked. Wtf is going on....
Couldn't unlock the pipes because of artifacting.
