You could also use a program like VisiPics to find duplicate images even if they have different filenames, EXIF data, resolutions, file formats, compression, etc.
To the original poster: I've been running 3 x 8GB sticks (taken from two 16GB dual channel kits) on a Sabertooth X58 for over a year without a single issue. The kits are purely for marketing, the memory in a single/dual/triple channel kit will work in any configuration that your MB supports.
Might want to check out Copy Handler - it's very configurable and I prefer it over the others. Bonus is that it doesn't need an additional shell extension installed.
If your WHS server supports UPNP streaming get the following Android apps: UPnPlay (free) and VPlayer (around $5 i think). You'll be able to play most files without VPlayer, but it will play anything and is well worth the money.
I ditched the Cisco client about a year ago and started using ShrewSoft VPN Client. It can import Cisco .pcf files so the configuration should be a cinch for you . I run it inside of a VM regularly and it works fine.
What does the confirmation window ask when you delete files?
"Are you sure you want to move this file/folder to the Recycle Bin?"
- or -
"Are you sure you want to permanently delete this file/folder?"
I currently have 6GB of this and it's great RAM. I ordered another 6 from the current deal on the 26th and am still waiting for it to arrive. I live 10 miles north of the NJ Newegg warehouse and I guess now they use "UPS Mail Innovations" for their Egg Saver shipping...which means it went 150...
Mine came today...they really do sound amazing! They're a little bit tight on my head though, and I've never been told I have a big head...at least not literally.
Budget is around $40. I don't need anything crazy since I won't be doing any crazy overclocking.
Thanks for the advice on the hr-02. The Freezer 7 I have now is almost silent even with it's fan...to be honest I just hate the mounting system...seems so flimsy.
Thanks for the useful reply. I did search and went through several threads, but like I said I'm looking for somethig quiet and comparable to what I have now. Maybe someone out there has done a similar upgrade with similar requirements. But anyway, thanks again.
Hey guys, I'm upgrading from a q9300 to an i7-950. My q9300 is currently cooled by an AC Freezer 7 which has done a good job and is extremely quiet. I'm a little out of the game and I was looking for a recommendation for a HSF for the i7. I don't plan on any crazy overclocking, and having...
I'd recommend using some sort of semaphore. In this case your primary application could create a temp file (ex: .backup_running) before it begins generating the backup folder and delete the temp file when complete. The backup job could then wait until the temp file is deleted before beginning.
Try using EncodeHD instead of Handbrake. It's great for batch transcoding as it analyzes each file and automatically picks the settings that minimize quality loss. I used to use Handbrake but it's a pain for batch processing and doesn't produce better results than EncodeHD in my opinion.
How long did it take Dell to ship for you guys? I ordered by U2311H on Sunday morning and my order status is still 'In Production'...what are they producing, a box?
I'd recommend downloading Imagemagick and using identify.exe to find out the exact format and specs of the image file.
