I also recommend Ubuntu or Kubuntu. Installs in about 25 minutes, and there is a live CD available, so you can fire that up first to check for hardware compatibility. I use Kubuntu, and I have had more luck with it vs. Ubuntu.

No, see, I DON'T want the dialog to show when you are already logged into the domain. So now it seems to be working, by not showing the dialog box, and still pulling the correct username from the windows identity.

Ok, i found the problem. Apparently Access doesn't like it when you name a field the same name as another data type. So I renamed the date field in the database, and it worked fine.

I've used www.dynu.com for years. They have a client you run, as well as these others, that updates the IP for you.

You can set the MIME type to the certain application. That way if it is a known type by MIME, it will open the appropriate app.
