Ummm I installed the 1.3 patch started a game and tried the normal map compression deal. Nothing happens, when I type the command into the console. I have an XTPE and syntax is just what it says in the readme. What gives?

Just installed the new 4.10's (Yesterday) After some game testing the basic seems more effective then the advanced and I was wondering if anyone else is seeing the same results.

I had to do a recovery installation and the option to turn on auto log on came up. I put in name and password etc. For unknown reasons they are listed as incorrect and now I'd love to shut it down but cannot for the life of me figure out how.

I see alot of people saying they don't want OEM versions of the latest gen of vid card. Why is that? I thought it merely meant a weaker bundle with the same hardware as retail but suspect I must be mistaken. Can anyone clarify this for me please?
