If you want to take advantage of the second core, i believe you need to reinstall. Windows installs a HAL when you install it, and when you installed it with your single core it installed a single proc HAL. You will need to Repair your installation, or Reinstall it in order to take advantage...

except not.. the 3800 and 4200 have 512k/core cache. the 170 has 1mb/core cache. If you overclock, well worth the $$ saved from the 4400, and much better than the 3800.

im of the mindset that 754 is not worth putting money into. You will get much greater performance from a refurb 939 board, and a 3000+ venice.
