It won't install for me :( i get a pop-up box with the title "Notify" and the only option is "Ok"
after that i get another error, followed by another; then the setup closes.
Gosh darned it...
Hi, I have a Sapphire X1950Pro 512MB AGP card, and i want to know if anyone knows of any waterblocks that will work with it. I've checked out danger den, and swiftech, and im not sure if any are compatible with that card. I know for sure the tyee from danger den wont work because that was the...
thanks man, i tried that stuff, but everytime it would just mess up the boot. im using openSUSE now, all works fine except the mouse wont work. This shall be resolved in due time though. Thanks again for trying to help.
okay i know this is a very n00b question. I use vnc to access my debian system from Win XP but since there is no monitor on that system it defaults to 640x480, so on VNC i only get a little 640x480 box. How can i get it set to higher resolutions? My XP system has a res. of 1280x1024 i would like...
1:1 is usually better, also dont worry about those chips overclocking, they are toughies, i have a 3.4E that wont go high without "a lot" of voltage.
If ur looking to play games I THINK, (maybe other disagree) u should keep it at 1:1 as i saw with my experiences with games and benchmarks...
Why dont u try using rthdribl, (Real-Time High Dynamic Range Image-Based Lighting), its pretty intense, look for the artifacts yourself, see how that goes, heres a linko. rthdribl try uninstalling that ati tool and try this. It sounds like ur problems stem from that. I wont even try the ati tool...
My bios screen also changed colors, to that weird green, just try plugging in the modular things to different slot things on the PSU. If possible could u get another PC to test ur card? A friends PC maybe? Just to test that AGP slot. Even with the green bios screen everything else looks fine to...
well before u RMA that card... Make sure you are getting the power from two separate lines from the PSU. Don't split one line from the PSU and expect that to be enough juice. Best bet is to try and get one molex connector from one line, and another from another line. (the rails are somewhere in...
the only thing I'm disappointed about with this card is the hi-def playback, and one game... I just upgraded from a NVIDIA card 6800 GT which had no h.264 playback support, the main reason for this upgrade was to have high performance and h.264 support. This card supports it with Avivo, but...
Where did u hear that the MCP655 is not quiet? I bought one to replace my 650 and its a HUGE difference. Its very quiet and it lets you adjust the speed. There is a tiiiiiny bit of noise but any fan would cover that sound up.
wats this magic? liquid metal, i have never heard of such a thing. Just playin, its been on the net for a while buddy, Hardocp even had some pics... U should go there more often...
You guys gotta remember that 2 fans means more noise. Take that into consideration also. I have my fan pulling since thats the only way I can get the fan on, its on the outside with a TAPE shroud, yes I'm cheap.
U gotta connect them to ur power supply. If there are only 2 wires that means there is no RPM sensor so it doesnt really matter if u connect it to ur mobo, ur mobo wont know its there. I have that case too and my front fan has a 3 pin connector that i connect directly to my motherboard. The...
I wanted to cool down my northbrigde heatsink too, I had one of those iceberg 4's lyin around. I knew i couldnt take the heatsink i had on and put the iceberg on since i have the clips, so i took the iceberg apart. i just used the little fan on the inside and got some thermal tape and pasted it...
I have a D0 stepping 3.4E and a P4C800 Deluxe (No E), i can only hit 4.01 Ghz , with my ratios at 5:4 and a FSB of 236, and a v core of 1.6V. Did u try raising the voltages for the CPU ? or the RAM? It helps a lot, like i can only hit 4.01Ghz stable with 1.6V and past 1.6V my board wont POST. Im...
I got a 3.4E and i can only hit 4.01 with 236 FSB and a v core of 1.6V with watercooling too, i thinks it because of the stepping, mine is a D0 stepping, i heard the E0's were better oc'ers. And i have an ASUS P4C800 Deluxe.
Ummm... NO. I used to have it without the 90 degree bends, did not work, it was kinked like a mofo. I had to put those clamps on the tubes just to keep it from kinking. Its tygon anti-kink too, i get better flow this time with the 90 degree bends. If i had a bigger case it wouldnt be a problem...
Hey peoples, wat do u guys think about my WC job. It's my first time with water cooling. Its a very tight fit in my Superlanboy. I get around 36°C idle now, i used to have 45°C with my old zalman HS. Its max is around 52°C now, but if i speed up the fan its like 48°C max. look in sig for...
I have a P4 3.4E D0 stepping and that sucker will not oc past 238mhz even with 1.6v, but with that i have it at 4.046Ghz im cool with that even with RAM ratio of 5:4 , but is 1.6V too much, any higher than that and my bios wont POST. I know more voltage equals faster death, but thats the only...
Here is the site where i got my watercoolin stuff.Frozen CPU They are pretty good, but get all the components, instead of using a watercooling kit, DO NOT buy there PRe-configured kits, the S&H is cheaper if you just browse around the site and get the same parts. its about 10 bucks cheaper...
did u try lowering the refresh rate, mine can only do 1600x1200 if my refresh rate is at 60hz, and that aint happenin, strains the eyes. Some games dont adjust the resolution properly, like CS:S , that thing was screwey had to go into the regestry.
Do u guys think these heatsinks would be sufficient to cool some mosfets?, Vantec BGA Ramsinks I dont know if they would be too effective since they have thick thermal tape on them. It would take one BGA ramsink per two mosfets on my board. Or should I just buy some itty bitty heatsinks like...
My dream CPU would be a Intel P72, 50 cores, XGL 512bit, 1865 Pin Proc, idle temperature at room temp., 1C higher at full use, with variable Ghz scalable up to 500 GHz, hey u said it was a dream CPU , i have messed up dreams... :D
I know when i overclocked my 3.4E with 1.600 it ran fine but anything after that it wouldn't boot. I think the intel limit is at 1.600 too. IMO this thread should of originally been posted in the overclocking and cooling section, you would of had lots of answers.
