Sigh, two weeks ago I bought a TV mount at Monoprice and I just got notice this morning my card was compromised. A couple fraudulent online orders were attempted in the last day.
10 years of online transactions with no problems until this. Damn Monoprice.
^ This.
Honestly though, with that processor and that amount of ram (especially on Vista) WoW isn't going to run very well regardless of the video card. WoW: Wrath of the Lich King gobbles memory like no tomorrow.
I played WoW from launch and went through all the crap of leading a raid guild until a year and a half ago when I quit. It was great being able to do other things with my time and get caught up with other games, but I got suckered back with WotLK. Not sure how much longer that will last...
I went from playing WoW in XP32 to Win7 and it at least feels like it runs better in Win7 (may be since it can access all 4gb of my ram now). My wife has been playing WoW on Vista 64 since November with no issues.
ATI Rage 128 --> Voodoo 3 --> Radeon 8500le (died) --> Radeon 8500 --> Geforce 6800 vanilla
Definitely time to get with the times and upgrade to a pci-express card. ;)
