If you're running around engaging people at 20 yards with your F2000 using IRNV so the entire world is green and yellow, graphics settings don't matter.
Trying to pick someone out of the background at 900m for the perfect headshot, low settings don't cut it.
I have a a 3GS now, and my wife has a 4. I'll be going to an Android device when I can because I really hate the soft keyboard. Give me slide-out, or give me... well, or give me a soft keyboard, but I'd really prefer a slide-out!
I'm enjoying Crysis a lot, also Black Ops for the lulz of having a silly advantage. Peripheral vision ftw. Someone above mentioned SCII- It doesn't work in Eyefinity.
Make sure you check out Widescreen Fixer

It helps with a bunch of the games that can't handle...
I purchased a 2500K for my new build, thinking I'd never really use the HT. I've recently become enthralled with F@H, however and the lure of -bigadv calls to me.
I have the retail box, unused heatsink. I've had it OC'd to 4.7 pretty much the whole time I've owned it, running at 1.375v, it's...
Assuming your 22s also have DVI, it won't be a problem. DVI and HDMI "share" clocks, ie you can only have 2 of any combo of those. Each DP has it's own clock, so assuming you have a reference 6950 w/ 2 mini-DP, 2DVI and an HDMI, you're good to go even without adapters.
30" to DP#1 (might need a...
I can only have two monitors showing a desktop at any one time.
As far as I can tell, the adapter is active in that it says "Powered from Minidisplayport source"
I can only ever use two monitors at a time, in any combination. I have tried restarting, replugging, etc.
Thanks for all the help...
Actually, my adapter looks just like This adapter which is ATI certified for Eyefinity. I assumed it was passive because it doesn't have external power, but neither does that one, and mine says "Powered from MiniDisplayPort source" indicating that it is active...
Yeah, it looks like I confused since people were reporting having success with passive adapters, but they're using DP>VGA adapters, which, apparently is OK.
"So here's the jist. If you want to have all 3 monitors hooked up via a digital signal (probably most people who spend the money for 3...
So I just got my third monitor, 3x Samsung 216BW 1680x1050. Using 2x DVI and 1x Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter to connect them to my XFX 6950/70 flashed.
I can use all 3 monitors, just not at once! I know this isn't an active adapter, but according to everything I have read, active is only...
If the processor is holding you back (it is) you're CPU limited, not GPU limited. Therefore, any increase in CPU performance will result in a benefit in game performance.
CPU limited would be like running a Phenom II 965 with dual $400 video cards...
GPU limited would be like running an i7 980x...
That annoyed me too. Not sure what was up with the pastel color scheme this release, but everything was like that! I went with the UD4 ($225) over the Asus offerings because it wasn't pastel. Yes, I traded UEFI BIOS for black PCI connectors. LOL
You're talking way old tech with the E8400. Heck, even the i5680 is obsolete now.
For a few dollars more, you can move up to the brand new Sandy Bridge (2500K=$224). There really won't be any comparison.
For example, if you're playing FFXIV at 1280x1024, you'll see an astounding 1571 more...
Interesting SC2 results up there. I'm getting 33FPS out of my [email protected] and a flashed 6950, almost identical to what he's getting.Glad to see SB will help out a bunch there, Amazing how CPU intensive that game is!
I was also surprised at Black Ops, which will run all 4 cores at max...
If you're using it for just an HTPC, leave out the 260, you won't need it which is a nice bonus to SB.
If you are using it for gaming, again the 260 isn't great because it's not really fast enough to drive games at 1920x1080 and it doesn't have HDMI out. Plus it's loud and power hungry (at...
Thanks! I thought I remembered seeing one, but then could never find it again making me think I was mistaken and I'd seen an 1156 board. Hopefully the Egg has em on release day. Pricing expected to be near Maximus III levels, I'd assume?
As much as I want to pull for the green team, I've been sitting on my Q6600 for long enough and am totally CPU-locked in games right now. Add to that I'm on a cheap P5QL mobo that I can't make it stable over 3GHz, and I'm itching for SB.
CPU/Mobo/RAM/SSD upgrade? Can't wait!
Anyone have an 1156 Bracket for a CoolerMaster V8 they'd sell? Mine either didn't come with one since I bought it so long ago or I've misplaced it. I'd pay, say, $8 shipped?
Send me a PM!
So, this is totally cosmetic, but is anyone aware of a P67 mobo that will have a black and red scheme similar to the Asus Rampage III ( http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=tdsVoxzsToHRsCro&templete=2 )? I'm planning on getting a Scout case, I already have a V8 cooler (hopefully will be able to...
