I really don't want to go down that road, because I have 2 laptops already. And I don't have everything else I want, yet.
If I did get a new computer it will be second hand, a real steal of a deal.
so I got only one desktop computer:
dell optiplex gx270
pentium 4, 3.0gHz
1x1gb kingston valueram (of 4)(cheap)
120gb hdd
6700gt (vidya)
XP 32-bit
22'' samsung (1)
i use my computer for light gaming. but im taking up photography and want to get more serious in photoshop and high-def video...
its got all 3 fans there and they're connected to the ISA bus. the address for each is $C00 and they're all on LPC47M53. (chip)
EDIT: i ran orthos and it showed 100% in speedfan but RPM says 0.
i ran orthos blend - stress ram and cpu @ 2997mhz and the cpu usage indicator in speedfan only went to about 30%. what does this mean?
I just really hope someone can suggest a HSF to fit my pc. :)
I got speed fan but it's not showing the fan RPMs. fan01 fan02 and fan03 all say 0 rpm. My CPU usage with messenger skype task man speed fan and firefox with 5 tabs is between 3.8% and 12.5%. and HD0 is 34c. I will get orthos now, but why can't I see my fan RPMs?
I will do that can you also suggest some HSF that would fit. I've got one of the overpowered and over hot p4 systems and only a stock cooler. I don't really want to turn my fan speed down if I'm playing a game cause the fan runs at full speed when I play worms armageddon!! It's about time...
its a socket 478 full desktop model. someone could tell me a HSF thats not too loud and will fit inside the case with very little to no modification necessary. I like zalman but I don't know if they would fit because mine is a btx case and its got a little plastic hood that goes over top with a...
OK WTF... I need some help already. For as long as I can remember my computer has always had problems with microphones. My computer and microphones just don't mix or something! It's really frustrating me because whenever I plug a mic in I never know whats going to happen. Sometimes mics will...
Put simply this is what I want to do:
I want to run a program in the shell. It's very easy to do actually by taking the target path of the application I want to run and pasting it into the address bar in explorer. In this particular case it allows me to run a full screen game in a window. Now...
Thread title says it all. I've located a vendor selling single 512 sticks at 120 USD per. So I think a good price for used memory sticks would be around 50 each.
Right now I'm only running a 1.4 P4, with 384MB RDRAM and a radeon 7500, pretty basic, eh. But my next rig for Doom 3 is going to be really sweet. I'm hoping BTX motherboards start coming out soon, as well.
