I have played WoW from my iPod, just copy/paste the wow directory over. and yes, load times are hell, but no install needed!

Make a miniimage using Alcohol 120%'s trial (this game uses SecuRom 7, see Alc's forums for a guide on making a miniimage of it), then mount it using Daemon Tools or the now freeware Alcohol 52%.

The best way to help with ram usage is to remove non needed apps from starting up upon startup. use something like Startup Control Panel to see the items in the startup and to remove them from startup. To cross check items to see if they are needed, check out Sysinfo.

according to Spyware Warrior, ScanSpyware is not your friend. If you are gonna buy, i would go with Webroot's Spy Sweeper.

the only company still using OpenGL in the gaming area is id software, take it quake4 and probably some other games will be based on the doom 3 engine that will use OpenGL but for the most part. DX9 will be the dominant API by far in the gaming market. Professional market is another story.
