I'm not sure if it is foolproof my but Nexus 6P defaults to charge only when plugged into any USB source. You have to manually switch USB modes to transfer data.
*facepalm*
You do realize the sun doesn't randomly come out at night and get focused into a beam that is actively aiming at the airplane/cockpit. How is a pilot getting temporarily blinded overblown? Just wow!
Same settings. Never had any custom settings in the drivers. If I can't run BF3 with all the graphics settings maxed then I might as well sell this 690 :) The 314.22 drivers are okay but seem to stutter a little bit more than I'd like. I was hoping the 320.00 drivers would be smoother but cannot...
Well these drivers didn't work so well for me. As soon as BF3 launches it gives me a DX10 error and says that my GPU probably doesn't support Direct X. Reverted back to 314.22 for now.
I have a 690.
Downloading now. Hard to tell what the actual dl rate is because it keeps changing 2-3.5 MB/s so far.
EDIT:
Slowed to less than 30 KB/s at 94% but it is saying total download is only 268.32 MB which cannot be right. Last 6% is taking forever.
Got the email with the key and instructions saying it should be waiting for me to hit download in the My Games section... yeah right. Guess what? Not working.
Wow... yes I'm totally going to pay $1 to reload my gun. This guy is a genius
He's spent $5000 on micro-transactions this year so in fact this does work very well... for CEO's of huge game publishers. I'm sure $5000 feels like nothing to this guy.
I'm having trouble installing them. First I tried the Geforce Experience app auto download/update and that just got me a black screen. After 10 minutes of black screen I hit the power button, booted in safe mode and removed all nVidia software/drivers, rebooted, then tried to manually install...
I have an update to the benchmark results I posted on page 2.
After seeing some of the GTX 680 2x SLI results I was wondering if my min fps should be as low as it was. I ran the benchmark a bunch more times and every time I got mid 30's min fps except once I got 16 for some reason. I also found...
Here are my results. My i5 is at 4.8GHz and the 690 is at 130% power, +100/+150 GPU/mem.

Not a direct answer but here's a handy tool for figuring out best setup for SLI or multi-GPU setups with multiple monitors.

BF3 (multiplayer) is extremely demanding. I play at 1920x1080 with ultra settings on my GTX 690 (i5 3750K @ 4.5GHz) and my frames definitely will not stay above 100 fps at all times unless I'm on a tiny TDM map with a low player count. I haven't done any formal testing but I'd say I do stay...
I had an issue with the 310.90 drivers not detecting my 690 properly after a cold boot. I can't find the threat but there was a 10+ page discussion on this at Anyway they did update the inf file and re-posted the 310.90 drivers and now everything seems great.
Thanks for the support everyone. I rotated the NH-D14 90 degrees. Fits much better. Now my RAM slots are completely behind the cooler but at least I can remove/replace all sticks by just removing the one fan.
Here's the final layout.
I'm in the middle of setting up a new PC. I got my ASRock Z77 OC Formula motherboard, an enormous Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler, and a single GTX 690 video card. I'm trying to make everything fit happily.
I just finished mounting the NH-D14 and then realized my GTX 690 is supposed to go in PCIE2...
BF3 is definitely on the decline in terms of player count but it still has a very healthy number of active players.

Look closely at the interaction between the pumpkin and the guy's hood as the hatchet is striking the pumpkin. There are some weird things happening so I'm thinking there is some trick editing there.
Like someone else mentioned, it initiates a wifi-direct transfer which can be quite fast. I've done wifi transfers from my S3 to my brother's S2 and you can transfer some large files in no time.
I'm not sure it looks better, but it looks different. My computer runs MOHW at significantly higher frame rates than BF3 but the maps are way smaller and with less players.
So far I'm having fun but it seems like I'll probably get bored or annoyed with it quickly.
It also has a low budget...
I just bought a 256GB OCZ Vertex 4 because my 128GB Crucial M4 wasn't enough capacity anymore.
Rather than taking time to back things up and clear the old M4 first, I installed Windows 7 on the Vertex 4 without touching my Win7 install on the M4. I had the M4 disconnected while doing the...
Is anyone having problems with Battlelog's server browser? Suddenly today it won't render the server browser page properly and is making it very difficult to find a server. I'm using Chrome.
