So I can send an encrypted file to the US from Germany over the Internet and it's fine, but if I physically bring an encrypted file from Germany to the US then I can go to jail?
They might have an excuse for searching data at the boarder if it wasn't for a little thing called the Internet...
Sorry, my post was only referring to the US. Each country would obviously need to have their own net neutrality laws in place. This is just something that we can put into place here (sorry for not stating that).
Great video, except for the last part which argues against laws protecting net neutrality. Their example was that laws would not let the companies protect against spam. This is not true. Legislation should be put in place to protect a non-prejudiced internet, while complying with laws that...
Thanks anyway, but I'm looking to up the share limit, not the half-open connections.
After a long google search it doesn't look like there are any hacks out there to do it.
I have a Windows XP Pro PC (SP3) which is approaching the 10 connection shared limit. This isn't the half-open connection limit, but the actual share limit. Does anyone know of any hacks to increase the limit on XP? I really don't want to have to put Windows Server just so I can have 12 shares.
No, but I would like current news from [H]. It's not like it was hidden, they even published this information with the hack.

I hope this isn't too off topic, but does anyone know of an online banking institution that offers free checking accounts in addition to an e-savings account (5%+) where you can transfer funds between the two instantly online? Also, with decent ATM access for one of them.
Thanks.
Thanks for your help.
No antivirus was installed, no printers were connected, and I was using a PS2 mouse.
Upon further research, it seems that there is a known problem with the KN9 SLI board. The first problem being that it can't accept memory chips that run at 800mhz from a brand other...
How did they do that? Did they re-write all the shaders to take advantage of ps30 or did they just recompile the shaders? Yeah, thought so...
To add _pp hints, one has to go into every shader and change teh code to where _pp hints are needed. This is very time consuming for ASM shaders. And...
But why even post it at all? Why even make the insinuation that valve is purposely making the nv3x line perform bad?
Hahahahahahaha. One of the funniest things I've ever read. Thanks for the proof that you have no idea what you are talking about, whatsoever.
Why even help spread an obviously incorrect rumor that the fickle public would pick up as fact? Why even bother posting something false? Why not just link it as a way to increase performance, unless he has another agenda completely...
Where does PR translate into actual code? HL2 isn't the only game to have the nv3x use a dx8.1 path.
I don't know how you could even add the D3 numbers into this argument due to the use of PCF.
The bottom line is that the playing feild is even. The same shaders are used by both IHVs. The...
Too bad Kyle didn't do that. Saying a ridiculous claim like "Half Life 2 Coded Against NVIDIA?" in a news post is much different than saying "Increase HL2 Performance on nv3x by Lowering Quality". All he has shown is that he doesn't understand the issue at all and made an assumption based on his...
I just had to come in here to say "wow" at the stupidity of some of the claims in this thread.
Valve programs something using dx9 full precision standard and someone says that Valve is against nvidia because they didn't use partial precision? They are against nvidia because they programmed to...
This is a dumb move by FM, anyone can see that. Kyle has every right to post what he wants on his website, especially if it's an opinion.
If I were FM, I would be pissed too at Kyle's constant jabs at how their benchmark relates to the industry. Of course a synthetic benchmark isnt going to...
