Ah... I had forgotten she's with Tmobile and not AT&T! AT&T automatically detects the IMEI of the phone, and forces you to adopt a data plan even though you don't need it. With Tmobile that won't be a problem...
Thanks!
I have no problem buying a full-priced, unlocked phone - but I still want the capability of the iCal syncing via wifi WITHOUT a data plan. Any thoughts?
Hey all. I'm wondering if you could help around a specific circumstance.
My wife uses a dumb phone right now, and pays a minimal $10 per month plan on Tmobile which we're very happy with (only very occasional use). But she now wants functionality of a calendar.
We're cheap enough that we...

Supposed to have been launched April 10, and available end of April, but I haven't seen it at the usual suspect online retailers. Does anyone have a heads up?
I'm really attracted to this due to the dual top fans - my current set-up requires the box to sit with minimal space between the box...
Try WorldMate - the demo has full functionality for clock, currency, weather and world map. Sports Tracker is great, JoikuSpot works but the free version doesn't support VPN, and of course Google Maps which I find much better than Nokia Maps.
Sounds like Acronis is working, though remember you have to set the partition as active. Boot up with the 500Gb, and set it active under Disk Management. You should then be able to boot with the 100Gb drive.
You don't need to use the 1x4 connector.
Sounds like a video card problem. Make sure it's seated properly, connect the 1x4 connector on the card itself, and double-check the monitor cable connections.
I had a faulty MB which wouldn't display video, but the monitor could at least detect...
The IDE/Legacy only applies to the black SATA connectors (the other ones are Marvell which actually do need drivers from the beginning).
Say if you're doing a clean install, and all you are using are the black SATAs and the IDE. Before you do the installation, boot into the BIOS and switch...
Weird. I run nearly the exact same setup as you, except I'm running XP. Is the beeping coming from the mobo or the audio outputs? And have you switched off warning beeps in BIOS?
I can confirm this. I have a full SATA system, including 2 HDs and 2 DVDRWs. You just turn it to Legacy/Compatibility mode and you don't need drivers upon initial install. Afterward you can switch it to AHCI (following XP installation) and Windows will install the driver for you.
I had exactly the same problem with my BadAxe2. Lights came on, drives spin up, but no video. It powered up out of the case the first time, then failed to do so when I took it out the 2nd time.
I eventually RMAed it back to NewEgg and received a replacement in under a week. The replacement...
Forgive my newbieness, but I this texuspete00 has a good point.
From what I understand, if you are like many of us and have a digital cable box and that is how you primarily source your channels, then you have no choice but to control it with an IR blaster or serial port connection and then...
Like many office users, I carry around a laptop (Thinkpad X40) and use it at both the office in a docking station, and at home as a laptop. I love the small form factor, but I'm crippled by its limited processor speed, unbelievably slow HD performance and limited video capabilities, not to...
