The fact that it took so long because you don't have a lot of time I think shows how much care you put into it and obviously your skills :) I signed in just to say kudos, its a beauty.
dang, i quite like this :D
the arms holding your tablet and phone on the side are cool. jelly beans are a nice touch ;)
how do you feel with your portrait monitors not aligning exactly with your centre monitor? it doesn't bother you? did you ever have the 2007FPW?
Thats nice of them. I just got the Gigabyte 670 GTX OC, great card. Quiet with its triple fans. I was coming from a 6970. Just uninstalled one set of drivers and reinstalled another.
Got mine. It unlocked, running it at 6970 clocks with a +5% power boost.
It is indeed reference card design with a dual bios switch.
I used RBE to modify the default bios and then command prompt flashing with atiwinflash.
Bought a http://www.diamondmm.com/6950PE52G.php from newegg.ca last week, unlocked it and clocked it to stock 6970 speeds.
After I used RBE to create the modified BIOS from the original, I used this method to flash it:

hey guys, can someone measure the length of their card for me? or direct me where i can find it? i want to know if it is shorter than 305mm
--
some googling:
My sapphire 6950 2GB (reference design) is 11.25"
so that is less than 305mm (12") yay! it will fit my X900.
thanks for posting the pictures lion... close to buying one myself... with the lower hd cage, do you mean to say it doesn't work with the hx750 PSU at all? or you just removed it to make more space.
Cool processing John -- kinda like a gradient?
Well its been awhile since I posted anything so please forgive the longer than usual post, I really haven't been up to much but this is some of my latest work. I finally got around to creating a facebook page too
Wow, I'd like to know how this is for photography as well.
From the sticky thread here:
Super-IPS (S-IPS)
- same as IPS except ...
- likely best color reproduction of all TFT
- less expensive to produce than IPS
- improved pixel response
Very tempting!
Hey guys,
I'm in a pickle... I want to use my two WD 640 GB in RAID with my ASUS Commando (ICH8R) and I have a Pioneer DVR-212 SATA DVD drive. However it seems with this combination, I cannot boot from my SATA DVD drive and thus I can't re-install Windows.
I have the optical drive first in...
Cost/Reason:
I paid $268 (CDN) from NCIX after the mail-in-rebate. I debated buying an 8800 GT and getting an Accelero S1 but this was almost the same price so I went ahead with the GTS hoping the extra Shaders would help gaming at 1920x1200 and the GTS cooler would be quiet.
Box Contents...
another vote for bailing on vista.
not sure what you did wrong. i installed an 8800 gts last night. all i did was pull out my 8600 gt. and stick in the new card.
upon boot up, drivers didn't work with the new card, so i just downloaded and installed the new ones. rebooted and presto, 8800...
yeah, i think there is a post on how to setup rivatuner with the 8800 gts g92 somewhere, but i can't seem to find it right now.
you have to modify some .cfg files or something.
i'd like to know as well since i just got one.
The GTS (G92) fans are controllable via software/drivers though right?
How low do you think we can run it if you're not overclocking? My case also has an 120mm exhaust fan right about the video card slot so ideally I want the video card fan completely off or near silent :)
So what is the scoop with these cards now?
The older version card (with the coolermaster cooler) has RAM supporting 2 GHz?
What about the new version of the card with the dual slot cooler? Slower RAM?
i don't need/want a fan on my video card.
reason is that i have a lian-li v1100 which already has an exhaust fan right over the video card. i'm currently running a passive video card and i don't want to make my computer any louder :)
see sig ;)
i like to hear my watch tick.
can someone take a picture of the back of their card? :)
is that HSF a standard zalman design u can buy seperate? if so, it might be standard mounting holes.
depending on the connector of the fan, maybe get a zalman fanmate to manually slow down the fan. also maybe take off the heatsink and reapply artic silver.
u should have really bought a different 8600 gt. i have a gigabyte one, its passive.
i'd be weary of tinkering inside your PSU. u could zap yourself touching the wrong thing. if you open that thing up, how will you know what component is causing the problem?
do u have another PSU or a friend who can lend you one to try out?
your PSU might very well be dead now. i'd just...
I hope someone else comes out with a passive version or a 3rd party quiet cooler is available soon.
I have a 8600 GT made by Gigabyte, and its passive. Its nice and quiet :) but kinda slow to power my 24" LCD.
