Awsome work, i just bought a pair of tecra A4's (PTA42C-RA301E to be exact) for the office yesterday, one of them being mine. i don't really have plans to tear it down anytime soon but it would still be interesting to have a look inside if you ever work on one of them
I liked it for 5 minutes then a computer controlled car crashed and caught back up with me in 30 seconds. Games that have blatantly cheating AI opponents piss me off, its too bad realy , there arn't that many good racing games on pc.
It's ok , not great by any strech of the imagination. i played it a bit for about 4-5 months , got a cleric up to level 45 and after that meh i don't know, i just didn't feel like playing anymore. grouping at higher levels becomes, once again like so many other games, a chore. If you are missing...
not a chance , over the last few years too many corporations have been careless or lying when it comes to using personal information. to put it simply i don't trust too many people these days and unless i have a damn good reason to i don't give out ANY information, be it CC#/name/address/phone...
lets you skip the how to move the camera tutorial but doesn't seem like you can skip the first real level (after your saved vilagers come out of the portal) which is the whole town building tutorial.
Edit , ah yes the whole creature ADD thing , i had forgoten about that, tell your creature...
i played it a bit over the weekend and i'll put it this way , if you liked the first you will probably like this one, if you didn't well i doubt this game is for you.
Overall its prety similar there are a few things that are less annoying than the first, creature training is a lot easier to...
i have had a evo for 2 years now , works great and has been reliable and solid, something i can't say for the 3 previous logitech joysticks i had before that (all of them i had to replace in under a year because they couldn't keep their center and would not stay calibrated more than 5 seconds.)...
i also have a saitek evo and i'm very happy about it, had it almost 2 years now i think and it still works great unlike 2 other logitech joysticks i had bought before that. both of them would just not stay centered no matter how many times i tried to calibrate them.
I think it doesn't matter a whole lot if it ships with a DVD or HD-DVD drive for a few reasons.
Games are just now starting to make use of the capacity available on DVD and no, I don't believe developers will create additional content just to fill up the disks. High quality content costs...
for the movies go to \Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies and rename the files in there, by renaming them all it also removes the background movie in the menu's makeing it more responsive
i'm lucky, i got 2 accounts , my first one where i had unlocked the sniper rifle and hated it so i stoped playing that one and made a 2nd account where i got the eng shotgun and was mostly playing that one for the past few weeks but my first account now has all the unlocks. i'm happy and not...
Asus p4p800-e Deluxe
Intel P4C 3.0 @ 3.95
BFG 6800 Ultra @ 480/1250
2gigs Corsair 3200XLPro
Video card and cpu are water cooled
i saw a VERY noticable difference last week going from 1 gig to 2. it cut my loading time in half and got rid of all the slowdowns that happened from time to...
i'd say add more ram or lower the texture setting, going from 1 gig to 2 got rid of all those slowdowns for me and i can now play on high everything including textures at 1600x1200
this makes me happy as a engineer, this patch can't come soon enough, hopefully i wont be bored with the game by the time it comes out
as far as the laggy menu , as soon as i removed all the video's the problem went away (the ea and nvidia logo thing , in the same directory there's other...
i almost never play a sniper but i will agree with the 50cal being a waste of a unlock , i took that the first time and its a waste, its not better than other sniper guns , you still can't 1-hit kill with it, its very loud and rather slow between shots. the only advantage it has over other...
do you both have the same amount of ram? i had a gig until a 2 weeks ago and even with a 6800Ultra i was prety limited with how high i could put my graphic settings then i got another gig 2 weeks ago for BF2 and it made a VERY big difference in eq2. i was very surprised at how big of a...
go for more ram , games are starting to use it now , BF2 takes up to 1.2 gigs of ram on my system. in fact i just went from 1 gig to 2 gigs tonight and it made a very noticable difference in the loading times and also it stoped the stuttering i had from time to time while playing.
There must be support for adding Raid drivers other than a floppy disk , we're in 2005 not 1995. the only time floppies are used on my network is to install those raid drivers and to flash the bioses and by the time i need them again they dont work anymore because dust got in them or whatnot. if...
i had that problem with the camera rotating when in a car and not staying still.....i was using my flight stick because of the programable buttons on it for the gym (i don't realy want to destroy my keyboard with button mashing) and the wandering around reminded me of what happens sometimes in...
well after playing it for one night (and going to bed at 3:00am) here are my first impressions. the game is realy good and much much better than the ps2 version , the draw distance is a lot further away , the graphics looked much better than the ps2 version, except for the in-game map that got...
i'm in canada btw and i got it from future shop , they almost always have some kind of a deal for the first day of big releases (and only the first day) , i got a free headset with some game i forget , they gave you doom 3 when you bought the expansion , i got a free copy of kotor when i bought...
picked it up earlier today but haven't played it yet , i rented it for ps2 when it first came out but my tv kinda sucks and i had a hard time reading the text and symbols on the map , decided to wait on the pc version. if the game is half as good as the packageing it will be a great game...
I dont see how they will be able to make 2 versions for multi-player games, the "world" you play in has to be the same for everyone , its not like just replacing a texture for a lower res one like can be done with graphic cards , either a object is there or it isn't.
I agree its easy to set...
its going to be a wait and see thing for me, it all depends what the developers do with it. imo i think its about 100$ too expensive for a first gen product , they should get weaker/cheaper versions out to give us a idea about what they can do with the cards then sell us better versions kinda...
do NOT buy a video card based on how much memory is on it , it means NOTHING , more memory is usefull when you crank up the resolution but you can't crank up the resolution unless the GPU is able to keep up.
Edit: save for the extra week or 2 , you'll be much happier with the performance boost
i'll probably get a ps3 if it has backwards compatibility with ps1 and 2 , as far as xbox360 goes no i wont unless they start to release better rpg's. so far the rpg selection on xbox has been prety pathetic considering how long the console has been out and the few rpg's that have been released...
i don't think you will find a whole lot around that price range that will be a improvement over what you have , for 200$ you could get a 6800 but imo upgradeing to anything below that is just not a upgrade and is a waste of money.
its a little clearer but i'm still confused , trying to get a timeline of things happening
1 - bought server1 with 2003-SBS and installed, setup blah blah blah everything works
2 - bought a 2nd server with 2003-Std to use as a backup domain controller
3- installed 2nd server and got error...
in regards to the orginal question no , not realy. eventualy i'll get a dual core chip but not this year. For me its pointless, the apps i use aren't multi-threaded and neither are the games i play. i had a multi processor system for over a year it was nice, fast and very responsive but to tell...
yeah i was thinking about that whole demote thing after i posted , i'm not too sure on how he's gonna handle that , he can probably just pull out the 2nd server and give master back to the first and it will probably be "functional" for the time being. i wouldn't be surprised if the server...
Wait maybe Im reading things wrong here but did you install the 2nd server with the same disk as the first server? There can only be one server running the sbs version of 2003 on a network everything else must be installed with a regular windows 2003 disk. If you installed the 2nd server with...
well, agreed, but its one thing to not support something , its quite another to make it deliberately not work with any future operating system. i have no problem with them not helping me if it doesnt work on a new os but i do have a problem when a window pops up before install saying "this game...
i'm prety sure 64bit compatible or not isnt the problem here. the problem is that it wont work unless its run on a os that is specificaly recognized. even if they add support for the 64 bit XP it will not work again on whatever next OS comes out because the damn copy protection can't identify...
he will need to hook up the hard drives to the old mainboard and copy the from data there over the network or something, unless both mainboards use the same raid controler it won't work. the old array is not compatible with the new raid controller.
someone at my office had a cd-drive like that , i think it was a creative labs , spent an hour or so trying a bunch of things then said screw it and just bought a new one, i never did find the problem.
