Has anyone gotten memory to run higher than 250 on this board?
best I can do is 145 1:1 or so with 2.5-3-3-6 1t. Thinking machine might run faster if I run it at
5:4 divider and put the cpu at 2.65ghz which puts my memory at like 216 or something. Any suggestions?
Has anyone gotten there memory past the 250mhz? Im running mine at 245 1:1 and Im sure my memory will go much higher but it craps out at anything higher than 248 or so. The other question is would it be faster for me to run my system at 245 1:1 2.45ghz or at 265 5:4 2.65ghz with my memory at...

Ok after a full day of overclocking and reseting the bios about 30 times and reinstalling windows a couple times I seem to have got my machine stable.

I had some problems with memory at anything over 250...
I flashed to the Jetway bios n89lga03.bin on the NF41 board ver 2.2. After I flashed I got a 29 on the led and nothing else, no post at all. Didnt post or at all. My Brother had a nf43 board so I pulled the
bios chip out and hotflashed mine back to the evga bios. I tried flashing a second...
Ok looks like Im going to have to take apart my board to see what memory it has in it. Called EVGA and they were pretty sure it had 1.6ns but could not confirm it. I guess Ill have to check it the manual way..
Has anybody cracked the heatsink off of the evga 6800 ultra to see if it has 2.0 or 1.6 ns memory. I just picked up a evga board and Im pretty sure it has the slow memory on it.
Has anybody seen any dual 16x pci express boards for sli. Im pretty sure you can get away with a 16x and a 8x as long as the 8x is a full 16x length slot. I havent seen or heard of any yet minus the alienware one which I have yet to see.
Thanks for all the infoz... Looks like I'll be canning my x800 xt pe CDW order that I placed over a month ago and attempt to locate a 6800 ultra as the PE doesnt seem to fit the bill for any sort of dual head gaming. Thanks again guys.

It would be usefull in first person shooters for other things like other views or the game map in bf1942 for instance. In my case I only have 1 inch between the two monitor screens which wouldnt be too bad for the crosshairs. But if Ati's hardware wont do real horizontal spanning than I...
Actually Ive done dual monitor in clone mode for games without a problem. What I am talking about is horizontal spanning. Where it treats both monitors as one display. Youll notice this when trying to get a dvd or video to span both monitors with a ATI card. It just wont do it. But my guess...
In the past as I understand it all of the ATI cards would not do true multihead DX9 or opengl. Is this still the case with the x800? My feeling is yes but I wanted to see if anybody had any infoz regarding the state of dual head gaming with this generation of video cards. I know the 6800 and...
Wow HP must have changed panels because I looked at that same monitor a month ago and it was rated at 25ms not 16ms.
Damn.. To bad Im past the 30 day mark on my 2001fps..
Do we know if the card uses the 3.3,5v or the 12v rails? If its just the 12v Rails you could probably get some sort of 12v external power supply thats rated at over 150 watts or so. So anybody know what the High end laptop (Alienware, Voodoo, P4 3ghz etc) use? My guess is there probably about...
Do any of the upcoming chipsets support dual 16x PCI express? I know I would use the second slot if they implimented it. Also I would imagine that any highend Raid controller probably be a 16x card as well. 3 or 4 monitor support would be nice..
As far as the holes in 3dmark03 are concerned, This only happens if you flash the XT bios on a R350 chip. I have the R360/128mb 9800pro and I dont have any holes/artifacts at stock XT clocks with the XT bios and stock 9800pro heatsink. Most of the Current 9800 pro 128mb cards built by ATI...
The Gigacube 9800xt 128mb Bios is supposed to be the best one for overclocking memory.
With the original 9800 pro 128mb Bios memory would only go to about 370, With the Gigacube bios it would go to about 385 before I saw any artifacts. It was highly recomended on the Rage3d forums. Im sure...
I have a Built By ATI Radeon 9800 pro w/ a R360 chip. I flashed the card with the Gigecube 9800xt 128mb bios and my 3dmark03 went up 200 with the exact same clock speed. If you have the r360 and can go to 412 than it is a worthwhile Idea to flash the card to the XT bios.
Those quad R300 pics were nice. They sell that one at newegg?
The developers will never add three head support into the games unless a graphics card with substancial market share includes 3 ramdacs. "If you build it they will come"
With as much beefcake fill rate that the new nvidia card can push why didnt they include a third ramdac for Surrouind gaming? Is ATI going to follow the Same route? I would buy a third monitor in a heartbeat if I could Use it. Can you imagine running your favorite FPS game with three...
Currently there is no solution for High end surround gaming. Even if I bought 2 6800's , there is no dual AGP motherboards out there. Even in the future with PCI express I dout we will see dual 16x pci express slots on any motherboards. Maby on some server boards but that will be probably a...
Where are the Three head cards? For gaming having the third head allows FPS games to use multimonitors. If you have the cash to fork out $500 every 6months - 1 year on a new video card than you probably have atleast 3 monitors/LCD's. I have two 2001fp's and I would buy a third one if a three...
Yea Im kinda interested in this myself. Just picked up a Built By ATI 9800 pro 128mb w/ 360 core. I can get 426 / 370 max now. Kinda interested to see what flashing the card will do.
BTW.. What cooling solutions are you guys looking at?
Splat.
I have a Built by ATI 9800 pro 128mb I picked up last week at frys for 2 bills. Runs w/ stock cooling at 426 / 370 I has the R360 chip and Samsung 2.8ns memory. Although at that speed the stock heatsink is very hot.

I purchased two about a month ago. I RMA'd them and Dell shipped me 4 more. I took the best 2 out of the six total that were shipped to me. These two have Good backlighting. I cant say they are perfect because there is a little bleed from the upper right. If you want perfect get the...
You could be right about the these being XT's that didnt cut it.. Although Im not hearing of any problems running at 412 with these cards. Also.. They do have the Monitoring for fan speed and CPU temp. You have to load the XT bios for it to work though.
Check this..
and cpu temp built in...
I know the ASUS board has the XT chip on it and the same speed memory.. The 9800 pro bios underclocks the card to 9800 pro specs. All you do is take the bios for the ASUS 9800xt and load it and you have the temperature monitoring and everything the XT card has. Because physically its the...
There are a few manufacturers out there selling 9800 pro's 256mb that have the exact same memory /gpu as the 9800xt. Does anybody know If there are any difference's. I know for instance that the 9800pro 256 sold by asus is basically a 9800xt. Is the core voltage the same on the 9800pro 256 as...
This is what I had in mind BTW..

Looks like this is a 25ms Panel.. Any Ideas on who is manufacturing these panels.
