This.
Nvidia has been consistently doing the proprietary ours that only works on some things vs everyone else's that will have a much more universal, useful install base.
For now, this is all buzz to me though. Tech to smooth things out, cool. But I don't particularly register much visual...
Pickup in central California/bay area preferred.
My sad story of indecision:
Bought 2x of the 4k Samsungs to use, and ordered a new L desk with hutch. Turns out that the Samsungs are 1/2 inch too tall to fit underneath the hutch, so they're uncomfortably close to the edge.
In response I...
I understand as a consumer it may be kind of annoying that products make some unwelcome noise.
On the flipside, most every time I've seen anyone bring it up it's been so damn quiet you have to turn everything else off in the room to get the room as quiet as possible to even hear it. You'd...
They don't fix it because nothing is wrong with the card.
Let's reiterate:
Coil whine occurs when energy going through the coils hits a resonant frequency and the wire begins to audibly vibrate. Energy going through the coil is wildly variable so it is likely that every coil will whine to...
That's some pitiful fanboyism you're suffering from there.
I'm growing tired of the plebs complaining that it doesn't have enough RAM to satisfy their epeen, er- performance needs. 4GB VRAM is a nonissue in >98% of instances in the real world.
The leaked benchmarks so far are showing the...
Alright. Let's see you drive an F1 car at 180mph+, don't brake until 50ft before the corner, only down to 100MPH through the corner, 3-4g's, in an 800BHP car weighing 1500lbs, while having faster than fighter pilot reflexes, during a live race where one slip up can end your life. Because there's...
High end racing leagues, Formula 1, Le Mans (LMP class), do some pretty serious workout routines to stay fit enough to endure a race. It's often quoted that F1 drivers do daily neck work outs to keep their neck from giving out during the race due to intense lateral G's on turns. "Normal' people...
Too much tension created by the standard spring clip design. The damn heatsink only needs to make gentle contact, it doesn't need 100lbs of tension squeezing it against the chip :)
Intel Integrated Extreme 1 to 9700Pro. Went from 15-20FPS on minimum settings at the lowest resolutions to 40-60 at max settings at max resolution :D
Or SIS 620 to 3D Prophet Kyro 1 card, that was a huge jump for me too.
Have a PCI based Xonar D1 with full height plate. Was working perfectly until I upgraded to an Essence STX.
Looking for $60 shipped
Heat under L0s7, though only 10-0-0 on that because this is the only place that uses it. Link to ebay...
Google did. IIRC point to point compression from server to user has been added to HTTP2 specifications. This is an intermediary step to bring a bit of compression speed up to HTTP1 now.
Not surprised. Radioshack used to carry oddball stuff and things no one else had.
Then they tried to become another big box electronics retailer a la Best Buy or something, without having large locations with lots of physical inventory. So in the end... They'd have nothing you wanted or needed.
As did I. N changed very little from draft spec to full ratification. As I understand it, AC has had more significant changes than N did and draft 2.0 devices very well may not be 100% compatible with final AC.
It's also uncertain that a firmware update will bring current chipsets on the market to full compatibility with AC standard, whenever that is set in stone. Later drafts more likely than earlier drafts, obviously.
802.11AC isn't even standardized yet. It's a gamble that anything will work 100% with each other. Nothing Apple can do. But if they want to have completely solid devices they shouldn't offer AC chipsets in their devices until it's solid as well.
I'll wait for it to be deployed so we can get 4G speeds. Carriers always oversell their network so they can't deliver anywhere close to theoretical speeds. Like 3g service will get you 2g speeds, 4g service 3g speed, etc.
I find it VERY ironic to watch a news video from India about someone driving being unsafe.
I've heard so many insane things about driving in India that a 9 year old should be BFD. Whole family on a motorcycle? No problem. Cars driving both ways on the same side of the road on the highway, at...
I sincerely hope they tell this guy to go F himself. In those words. "We see no reason that the future value of Dell should not accrue to ALL shareholders"? How about you're being bought out! You don't get paid more for it because it might be worth more in the future.
That's like trying to...
As someone who has played on Origin prior to this game coming out, color me totally unsurprised. Mass Effect 3 still has server issues a year after release. Random disconnects, servers unreachable, lag. Had I heard their statement about being able to handle launch load on Origin I would have...
I have 8GB (4x2GB) of G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 I don't need. Upgraded to 2133. $40 shipped SOLD
