    AMD Athalon 64 notebooks?

2048 x 1546 res on the eMachines uses virtual desktop, and it not the native res. Notebook screens are not like CRTs so when changing the res fron the native the screen interpolates thus causing some blur. That said, I am seriously considering the eMachines. They seem to be sold out at all...

    AMD Athalon 64 notebooks?

I looked at it Voodoo M:855 and it is a sexy beast but costs tooo much. So i am considering the CyberPower http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/highendsystem/ntbkx648000.asp or waiting for this http://www.eurocom.ca/products/future/specselectfuture.cfm?model_id=126 But maybe I can't...

I want to buy an AMD Athalon 64 based notebook. I have considered eMachines m6807 - good bang for the $ . I have tried it out at CC/BB it is quick but i need a higher resolution screen. While the build quality is not bad (no worse than a Dell!) the back of the screen case was a bit flimsy...

    emachines vs cyberpower

cyberpower have a AMD Athalon 64 notebook based on the Mitac. Compared to the emachines it has 128Mb VRAM, a higher res screen SXGA+ 15", faster hard dive etc but it costs 2K ! That makes the eMachines seem like a good deal. Now compare your spec to the eMachines....I would go with the m6805...

Got an eMachine 6805. It rockz...

Thanks Eric1285: Shame about the screen then. I wish there was a good affordable AMD64 based notebook with an SXGA/UXGA. I am looking at the Hypersonic Aviator AX6 but it costs more. It has a 15.1" SXGA+ High Contrast Display. I have had a Dell for the last 3 years and dont like it!!
