Nice, thought they were still taking a hit but even then curious what that hit would be with the offset of other data resale. R&D yeah, all wrapped up in their entire ecosystem. Makes me curious what real pricing will be for future devices in the market and if they will push for the hit to get...
I am on the reserved list for the 256 version. I am not expecting a jump visually from my Reverb G2, but being able to run it off my main computer will allow me to play at higher or highest settings so I'll be happy. Tracking is my main point. Not expecting perfect but my current one is...
Linux may only protect you from the OS side of it. If you run a game, application or tool from a company utilizing this technology if implemented it will be monitoring you. So while better, Linux is still impacted.
7970 was a great card! And it kept staying solid for sooo long. Nothing for a while after it really moved the needle far enough ahead for me to justify the cost :o Until the 1080 Ti. Which I ran till the 50XX series turned out to be vaporware lol. But the 7970 was a solid card.
Ahh, memory Lane. My 1080 Ti is still running my VR setup until I can replace the headset and use my current computer. Sadly my 4600 Ti was sold for my 6600 GT, the SLI adapter for the Voodoo 2 was sold for the Geforce 2 MX 32, and that was sold for the 4600. My 8800 GTX cooked itself but...
Oddly my tracked most played game is DOTA 2 and PUBG. I have not actively played DOTA 2 since they reworked everything in 2014 lol. A round or two here or there and some TD but no real play and its still my top played O_O PUBG was hard core till 1.0 then it tapered off and only casual mode...
I wouldn't be surprised if Sony was trying to do this for a while and just needed a title big enough to force it and not dip revenue or kill the title.
I liked the rural areas, but game wise you need a reason to go out there and do stuff. Otherwise making you truck out there for a moment then turn around and haul it back is rather frustrating.
Lol. That video was stupid, Asmon whatever is a troll. GTA will be GTA, buy it, pirated it, don't play it whatever. These posts feel more toxic and full of snow than a lobby in the height of the Oppressor MKII lol.
Game will be fine. I think its over priced and a paywall for content is...
I did 12 solo back to back rounds with no gun, no augment, no shield. Never got to the friendly lobbies I crave. When my friends are on they tend to be aggressive but I rarely engage. I know any engagement puts me back in the bad place but however they are mapping it doesn't seem consistent...
I have a GameSir Super Nova. I was using an old 360 controller with the windows dongle. Didn't like having to mess with settings in Windows 11 for it to function and the dead zones were growing. I let my daughter use it now.
The GameSir is very comfortable, charges quickly and lasts a good...
Every year or two we go through this in this thread.
Haters hate and try to bait the people who enjoy it.
If you hate the game and don't like it, we've heard it, you can move on now, its been more than a decade.
We've heard and echo most if not all of the concerns.
If people want to enjoy...
🙄
Lots to live up to, long as they have a solid story and don't try to reinvent the wheel they could have some potential to build with. Only time will tell.
I really enjoyed HL2 when it launched even with the flaws and oddities. Last time I played it, I still enjoyed it. They did a lot of nice subtle things to make the world feel more functional and immersive. Similar to Alyx, the "game" is not much, but the experience was really really...
Mine from 2011 are pushing about 19k hours. I still want a new screen but hard to justify when these have been so rock solid.
Eventually I want to get a 5k2k display and keep one or two of these for supplementary things.
Impressive how good these have been.
Very likely, and yeah. I had my concerns and reservations from the start (I joined after the kick starter funded, first wave when they sold packages on the site). I have gotten most of my monies worth out of the 2.x range of patches and some early 2.0. Huge break until the end of 3.0 and a...
I think of him as an idea guy, who should not be the one managing the project. I am a fan, I enjoy playing when things are working. I have a lot of critiques and complaints but I have thoroughly had a ton of fun when the right patch is out and things are mostly working.
But my opinion of him...
Sweet! Been using my old PC for my G2 after shelving it for about 2 years waiting for a new computer that could run it better build a few months after MS killed it :(
Will have to give this a go and crank the graphics up if it works well yay!
I'm torn between the I want and Fuck no sentiments lol.
If Windows hadn't killed their VR crap forcing me to continue using my old PC for VR until something good comes out I would probably play it and shit my pants when my cat brushes up against my leg at the wrong moment O_O
I think some of that is also those with the purse strings demand AAA movie-esque visuals as that will sell. But ultimately what we need and want is rock solid gameplay, an experience that delivers on the intent. Some games that certainly translates to high end graphics. Others its all about...
I have never played more of the story than was required to get online. I've got a nice online empire and enjoy goofing off doing whatever I want (when there isn't a trolling cheater around). From that end, I really like it.
I was excited for it but had minimal hopes since it was so far off and little detail locked in. I don't care if things are changed but provide a valid reason or move on it. If it was never clarified prior well that makes it easier. To do something just because when the story / characters were...
Overall I would say every year is the best year for everything (games, movies, music).
Because we have the historical library of content to go back and enjoy (yeah some is a bit more challenging to get working) as well as some good new stuff coming out.
Always some crap but /shrug.
Loved DFI for a while there. Had a few of their boards and still have some of the cables and accessories for nostalgia lol. May have purged a chunk of the ones that are really pointless now my last cleaning session.
There is no "just good brand." They all have some hits and misses, some have been better than others. Asus and MSI have been the two I have used the most for personal / friends recommendations. I try to go middle of the road as I don't need the bonkers boards.
I don't believe NVidia makes the connector, its just a standard that they adopted hard core and invested into for their cards several generations ago.
It is however their poor power design on the card that could have averted this. From a video I saw it looked like it was due to them trying to...
Ehhh, dunno. Steve may have enjoyed it and found a better way to implement it. Headsets are getting smaller, better and less cumbersome which is a needed change. I doubt he would write it off, but since he isn't here and the world is a very different place now we cannot know how he would have...
Alyx could have added more things in the world to do, but they did a great job of implementing your hands for things to do. Early on I found a nice little box I could store spare health, grenades and ammo in to run around the world with. Stupid but I had fun filling my box with things to make...
I wouldn't lump VR into the 3D space. Also wouldn't call it an experiment.
I hate 3D as my brain nukes trying to split the two images which is very uncomfortable. On crappy headsets I am not a fan of the VR world. I only tried one before shopping around for the one I bought having a good...
I was in beta 2 or 3, loved the game and played hard until 1.6 which I hated. Stuck with the 1.5 mod until they killed that and then migrated to source until Go killed that.
I do think the older versions had more fun, though strafe jumping was a bit annoying lol.
I miss the train yard map...
Started hunting the 5080's but the one I wanted never released. No inventory anyway. Bought a backup card as those were going fast after details kept coming about supply issues and the cooking 5090 cables. That had 1 to 2 month ETA lol.
5070 Ti's, same story. Though most were way...
I'll give it a go, should in case there are throw backs in VI when it comes out.
Gotta rework my desk to make room for the new computer but GTA is one of the top games I want to play on it.
Cant wait to give it a try soon.
Gave up on a new GPU and just put in my backup 4070 Super before those prices went off the charts. Still bests my current 1080 Ti.
Still have yet to play the story. Played whatever requirement opening scene was needed then jumped straight into online lol. I...
