Been looking at this little guy. Has anyone had any experience with it? Good? Bad?
:( oh good god...
P4 2.53Ghz
1 Gb PC3200
Gigabyte motherboard (865P)
Radeon 9800Pro
Audigy 2
Problem comes and goes, sometimes it's fine, others the game is completely unplayable..
anyone else had this?
either your mouse or keyboard freezes up and you keep moving, shooting or the game won't accept input from the mouse, for example looking around...
I used to think it was a motherboard problem, but i just got a brand new one and it's still messed up.

hmm, I really don't like gamespot, don't know why...
an IGN person myself, though I don't really like them either...
the penny arcade commenting how "it looks like Ronald McDonald took a shit on IGN" somehow really hit home. After they started doing that I started to realise how stupid...
haha, that sounds frustrating... hmmm, well, I hope it is indeed the PSU that is messed up - I live in europe and I am about ot move back to canada, I don't want this thing crapping out on me just yet
to be honest I find most limited games kinda boring... but as it's been said it really does depend on the dynamic of the game.
I like just about all FPSes and all styles of them. I think that the ones that are limited tend to be better off that way, they would suck come to think about it...
Okay, so I've been looking at this guide for determining what PS2 version you have.
Mine definately falls under V1, V2 or V3, though I have no means of distinguishing further than that. My PS2 needs a new power supply and I was wondering if it was even necessary to go that far.
Any...
hmmm... if that's the problem with mine it will be difficult getting one for much less than the cost of a new console. Ahh well, I suppose I will make some phone calls.
sorry to hijack the thread...
but okay, I have a pretty much vanilla OEM Audigy 2 - my brother bought it for me. When he bought it he got two identical ones, one for himself, one for me. I installed it, put the software and drivers on and it USUALLY works pretty well.
Until that...
geez, the opinions on this subject are so divided. I feel bad for the thread starter cuz he'll neve rknow what to do :p Though he has my sympathy cuz im taking my PS2 to college (assumiing that I get it fixed) and will need a similar means of doing this.
:( how much did that cost him?
If something was wrong with the PSU would you be able to tell just by looking at it? Because everything looked fine, it wasn't dusty, it wasn't dirty.. I'm hoping it's the fuse, but that dosen't seem likely.
well, a fuse would smell burnt or be singed if it was fscked up, wouldn't it? Cuz I opened the unit and the fuse in the back near the power supply looked fine.
Okay, so I was messing around behind my TV and I ended up unplugging my PS2 by accident while it was on. I plug it back in... and the LED light no longer turns on.
Any ideas? it's pretty old, but c'mon, it wasn't doing anything, just sitting in the menu of GT3.
Please...
logitech = best RMA company I have seen yet....
my Z540s (cheap ass I know) gave out a little over a year and a half after I got them.
By this time they had been discontinued, so they told me to cut the plugs off the ends of the speakers, send them in and they would send me a new set of...
Woah, what a jack ass...
Why should he read your crappy break-down of the game that may end up spoiling it for him, anyway? As if you're IGN or Gamespot or something. Stop ripping on the guy over his purchase choice, he already said he couldn't afford better hardware; he just wanted the...
