Stay the hell away from the 2405. It's a giant turd wrapped in an attractive package. If you want something high res your going to need a bigger size LCD. The 27-32 crowd usually only does 1280 or 1360. To get up to 1600 or 1900 your going to need to venture into the 37"+ department.

What I meant by "set" was an equal min and max. Basically taking the decision out of Windows' hands.

Definately worth the money. You'll probably want to upgrade your graphics card to something newer if you demand the best performance. Otherwise, your all set.

I used to use Kerio 2.1.5 but had to switch once it became incompatible with Perfect Disk. I use Outpost Pro 3 now. The interface needs some work but it's pretty powerful so I'm happy with it.

I just tried out the G7 and didn't really care for it. It felt sort of flimsy compared to my MX1000. The ergonomics were much better though. Going to try the G5 today as the weights should solve the flimsy problem.

I got into the service menu. Says it's a V 1.9 running 1900x1200 @ 154mhz

Should have mentioned that before: I've had it hooked up to 2 different UPS, 1 Triplite and 1 APC, so I doubt it's a power issue. Can someone list the commands to access the service menu so I can check to see if it's a V2? I'd appreciate it.

Of course I would have, but the original problem didn't crop up until 6 months in, so they are loathe to give me my money back. Someone brought up an interesting point - Could it be my BFG 7800GT's brightness setting? Since the monitor still whines on 0 brightness maybe it's the graphics card?

Anyone tried out the new Microsoft wireless laser mouse yet? I tried the feel out yesterday in BB and it was pretty damn comfortable. Reviews seem to be scarce and I'm wondering if it can hold a candle to the G7.
