That is precisely what I did, I first bought the 226BW and recieved an "A" panel, spent 3 days trying to like it, returned it, and waited for the Dell price drop + 10% discount; $899AUD compared to $560 for the samsung. Very nice monitor the only problem I will have to upgrade my 7900GT :rolleyes:
I created that image in photoshop CS2, if you want to create another using other colours use the Angle gradient tool.

This was my exact problem with the monitor, it did not matter how I set the monitor up the text was very differcult to read. I spent 3 days with it comparing it to a samsung 172x and a 940b and the text never looked as good, I sent it back. Games looked good but the bottom of the monitor was...

My advice, don't get the Asus. ppl seem to have a lot of trouble getting the colours right and the overdrive seems to cause halo effect. If you want a 22" WS monitor soon, go for one of cmo based panels, such as the Acer or Chimei 22" until a better non-TN panel comes out...
