erm, yes, yes it has. Its been proven many times, theres thermal/fluid engineering principles on it, for gods sake. The question is HOW MUCH, not IF.
3/8ths, imo, is about the sweetspot for usability vs performance with modern gear.
lol at this thread, eh
TN, you did noticed he mentioned the pump overclocking, yes?
Hilarity...
does mention the low noise though, which is admirable - my main aim for watercooling at any rate.
Erm, 6 blocks are going to do BETTER in a half inch loop, theres overall less restriction. Man, some of these 'low flow' people are completely oblivious to science.
Before you jump down my throat, if i was watercooling again id run 3/8ths.
As long as you follow the instructions to the letter, and be careful, no reason why it should be hard.
That kit should perform excellently, as its a great pump, a top class block and a dual fan rad ;)
Check for leaks (obviously you have, but check the actual AGP slot)
and check for thermal contact. You may have to reseat your gpu.
sure its not a driver issue etc?
Noones mentioned the fact that your water temps are pretty high given your ambient, that ive seen.
Your idle water temp shouldnt be that much above the ambient air temperature (ie, <2 deg C)
Of course, your sensor could be off that your measuring water temperature with.
Post some pic's of...
You've got a dangerden RBX block, which i believe has some kind of jet plate? (correct me if im wrong, i cant be arsed looking)
If thats the case, go pump > cpu because you want the pressure to go through those wholes unrestricted. I think. lol :P
proj·ect ( P ) Pronunciation Key (prjkt, -kt)
n.
A plan or proposal; a scheme. See Synonyms at plan.
An undertaking requiring concerted effort.
I dont see how its 'hardly a project'... ive seen people put a few cold cathodes in and some fans and call it more than that...
nice...
I tried it and found no difference in cooling - over time it seemed to get hotter - but then, i have the ducting mod which might make a difference... I'll try it again just to see :)
Did i get ripped off ;)?
50x5x1200mm length for $35NZ, which is around $22USD. This was second hand, i thought it was a good price.
Just wondering what your prices are over there, they're very steep new here.
Id say theres enough copper to make 10 full blocks.
Its quite probable that your corsair is holding you back. Ive heard there are issues with some runs of corsair and the NF7-S - my brother has the same problem.
Yeah, its fine ;) thats what it was made for! it cant rub off, as its a dye and impregnates into the plastic (vinyl is a plastic remember), so no rubbing off should occur, unless you actually rub the vinyl off. Ive used it before, and it works great.
Reckon, good times for all i say. Hes probably sitting there on his ass at home pissed off that noone is around to talk to, his lack of friends has left him at home making lame remarks on an internet hardware forum.
Hell, im pro-life, but since he doesnt have a life, im not pro him ;)
Nice...
I think its a week 51 XP 3000+. But then, you're just being lazy, and just pasting a product code.... thats like walking up to someone without greeting them. NASTY!
Ive lost count how many times ive written this :(
Basically, i have jerkiness issues in gaming etc.
In bf and UT2k4, basically anything direct3d, i get tearing when moving my mouse quickly...
In cs, if i have m_filter 0, i get the massive jerks when i move my mouse sideways. Yes, ive...
Yeah, its pretty much true... try sisoft sandra, sticking the XP1800 beside a 1.8ghz p4, or an xp2400 beside a 2.4 pentium... the higher it gets tho, the worse it is - a 3200+ isnt close to a 3.2ghz p4, as said before. I think they were running out of XP architecture so they just kept going ;)...
lol, thats the fastest card you can buy today... what are you going to do, downgrade ;p
And yes, FX's arent really worth the money. Get a standard A64 or a mobile if you're an overclocker.
Hmm... is 11.75v a bit on the low side for for a 12v rail?
Under load it drops to 11.65 at times...
Im getting some chunkiness in games, trying to track down what it is exactly.
enermax 350w psu - rig in sig. My gf's comp also has an enermax, hers puts out a fair bit of heat when under...
Not neccessarily, but its probably not worth it. You'll more than likely experience system instability and it wont run as it should - things will be sluggish at times because of it, because your system will have to recalculate the results to get proper results, as errors are no good ;) If my...
49 deg is pretty mean. If its still passing prime, try doing some gaming. If it keeps its own in gaming, you could try pushing it a little higher :)
Seems like you've gotten a pretty nice chip :)
