You don't have to reformat. All you have to do is uninstall the nvidia drivers, swap cards, and then install ati drivers. You shouldn't have any problem. I recently did the same thing. I switched from a mx 440 to a 9500 pro and thats what I did. This was on a mediocore mobo. I had no problem.

Im not real certain on a lot of the ram options when it comes to oc'ing. I do know this, however. When using the ratio, you divide the fsb by the first number and times the second. Thats the speed you memory is running at. Take your example. FSB of 250 with ratio @ 5:4. 250/5 is 50 times 4...

Truthfully man, I would just get a brand new MX 440 off Newegg. They're about 50 bucks. They run really well. I was playing Halo and WC3 on that card for quite a while.

lol the 2800+ is an upgrade item. Sorta like you can upgrade from the duron to the 2800+ for XXX amount
