I have a computer with two HD's in a raid-1 array (winXP is on the array, computer boots on it), no other harddrives in the computer... just the two in a raid-1 array. i recently noticed another drive pop up, and it was my second harddrive (that was supposed to be in the raid-1 config)...

So... my gf's Dell Inspiron 4100 or something like that is getting this error - cannot load windows "Hal.DLL" not found. no problem, pop in the win98 boot disk... and oh yea, it's NFTS. so, make the winXP boot disks, pop it in, get to the recovery console... now i'm getting "Access Denied"...
