I only went with 5900x because at the time the 5800x was priced terribly, so it was either go 5600x or 5900x. I opted for 5900x since I was coming from an i5 2500k and figured I wanted something that would last me just as long. :)
5900x user here and also bit on the deal 😂 I definitely don't utilize all its cores much, I would benefit from the cache since I play MMOs like FFXIV regularly.
I received the A4-SFX V2 awhile ago and it's just been sitting in the box it came in. I've only opened it up once to marvel at the engineering and size of it, but current financial obligations keep me from utilizing it in a build for the time being. If anyone located in the US who missed out on...
I did not need to be verified when I ordered from Newegg Business. As for the monitor being priced at $599, yeah, probably not worth it at that price. I'm willing to meet them halfway to that original MSRP so I can fully enjoy my new 970 now while I have more time to do so. People who were able...
Whatever you decide to do, keep in mind if you plan on purchasing it from Newegg Business that the $50 off $599+ coupon will end on the 30th of this month. My order is still sitting in the packaging stage, I'm hoping it ships today so I can get my hands on it by Friday!
Did EVGA ex-communicate the [H], as well? The last EVGA products reviewed were in 2009. Also, it's hilarious reading the white knights over at the EVGA forums. Desperately clinging to defending them despite reports provided by multiple users corroborating the use of cheaper parts for their cards...
Well, I bit the bullet and purchased one from Newegg Business with a $50 off coupon. $50 more than the original $499 MSRP but it looks like Acer decided to bump this price up themselves according to their website product page. Credit card price protection to the rescue if the price drops again...
Mainly the native resolution of 1080p in relation to the monitor size. Although to be honest, I've no personal experience with a 1080p 27" monitor. I've only seen countless statements about 22-24" being the ideal max range for a 1080p monitor with regard to pixel density.
I believe it is the gaming edition, whichever version has the Twin Frozr V (red/black colors) cooling on it.
Yep, it was only until they officially launched and I was able to compare the part #s on the EVGA site with the one listed by Amazon did I realize that. Otherwise, there was no other...
^^after reading that review, it really made me feel better about cancelling my 970 SC order from Amazon after realizing it still had the previous gen ACX1 cooler on it. It was on the verge of shipping! Now I'm happily waiting on my MSI 970 4G to arrive sometime next week.
added the EVGA GTX 970 SC to my cart earlier today when it was briefly listed, it appeared again as available in my cart (product page still missing) a couple of hours ago during the Game24 event with a $339 price tag.
Installed on my 4890 Win7 x64 with E8400 @ 3.4ghz/P35/4GB RAM, don't see any issues in BC2. Can't really see any difference from the 10.3a drivers, might be some improvement in minimum FPS. I always uninstall the drivers, reboot, run Driver Cleaner.NET and reboot before installing new ones.
