I've researched the SLI PCIe port speed issue a bit more, and as far I can deduct from PCI Express 2.0 vs 3.0 GPU Gaming Performance Review & Ivy Bridge PCI-Express Scaling with HD 7970 and GTX 680 the bandwidth doesn't saturate even with the newest highend GFX in Tri-SLI.
So I'm gonna go...
Hi,
I've read the [H] review and numerous other reviews of the G55 & G65, but I've been unable to determine if the performance is degraded by the port speed decrease from 1x PCIe 3.0/16x to 2x PCIe 3.0/8x in 2x SLI mode?
Because the specifications state

But the msi...
I tried that and it doesn't work because %%a is a string like "C:\yadayada\thefilename.xml" and maybe there's where my problem lies. Since the string that contains the path + filename is absolut.
And I must reuse the filename, since that's hardcoded for use elsewhere in the program that uses...
Hi guys
I'm trying to convert the contents of some folders using windows batch:
FOR /R %%a in (XML-test-filer\*.xml) do CALL C:\FLPR\AltovaXML -xslt2 2.2mapping.xsl -in "%%a" -out "%%a_2.2.xml"
as you can see my clumsy attempt only gives the new files a slightly different name.
But I...
MS Windows has a built in ability to have a "Filter Driver" installed for a optical drive so a process can monitor (and possible control) IO for the drive.
It's used by some CopyControl systems, more specific the ones who can be disabled by disabling autorun. MS Windows IFS Kit
I for one...
BillLeeLee is right about the security certificates, that can be tricky.
Look into NetBeans and their NetBeans Mobility Pack.
That will give you a better start off, than I had with J2ME :)

To test your RAM use Memtest86+ to ensure your have a solid system, booting up is no garanti(SP?) for a stable system.
Read the instructions and info on the page before you use it, so you understand the results.
Good luck

If your looking for the current users home dir MS Windows has aliases like :
"%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings"
equals "C:\Documents and Settings\CurrentUser\Local Settings" on my machine (MS Windows XP).
"%SystemRoot%\Temp"
equals "C:\WINDOWS\Temp" on my machine (MS Windows XP).
Maybe...
Since the release of Windows XP your allowed to "yank out" the USB memory stick unless its busy with IO since MS changed the way Windows handles USB memory sticks, also I think this way is more intuitive as a user (I know this is harder on the drive, but not having the data on it when you take...
Well spotted Ruffy, it looks like the PCI express MB don't have a GART driver(checked the nvidia nforce4 drivers section). Only MB with AGP need the GART driver, and if you installed a video driver(the install will detect the GART driver) it will then it depend on the GART driver and will fail...
You are correct sir, if you uninstall the MB drivers you will also remove the AGP driver and then the video drivers will fail to load on startup.
So uninstalling videodrivers is a good idea when upgrading MB drivers.
And a FYI to those who think that the folder created byt the install...
I noticed that after steam updates, my ingame soundsettings would revert back to 4 speakers and I would have to manually put them back at 5.1 and it works again.

Hehe, you should send all you borgs/farms etc to the cold and safe scandinavia, my production is steady but extra computers always help :)

The Windows SP2 firewall can only block programs that try to listen on a port, any program that just makes a connection out is allowed(an example, your antivirus update etc.).
To get the functionality you seek you need to try another firewall like ZoneAlarm

To djnes:
Yes, most Linux distributions bundle alot of software
But the twist is this , there's not only one of each software tool(browser, mediaplayer, etc.) but many so the end user, can try out and choose the one he/she likes and uninstall/not install the rest, instead of the MS way where...
The shaper in IPcop doesn't work by magic :)
You need to specify the available bandwidth, but not exactly 100% since that doesn't gives the shaper any workroom.
Most people are happy with 80-90% of the bandwidth specified in the shaper.
Example: Syncron 2Mbit/s line.
In the shaper...
For more control you might consider RefreshForce a.k.a. ReForce that will give you complete control over the refreshrates used on your screen at different resulotions :)

Hmm, enabling access to windows shares directly to the internet sounds like a very bad idea.
Since those services responsible if not patched up, are prone to many attacks.
And then no amount of A/V or firewall on the machine are gonna help you.
If you really need the stats so bad, why not...
This might be able to help you OP.
My computer (right click) -> manage -> Device Manager -> NIC properties -> Power Management -> uncheck "Allow the computer to turn this device off for power saving" IIRC.

That means that my good old PII 300 MHz which is doing timeless WU's at app. 1hour 15-30m per frame isn't that far from the 1 GHz VIA CPU  I 've always been told that it's the amount of MHz that matters for folding.
I also have a K6-2 550MHz but it is'nt folding, because it will either...
IPCop with the mod: BlockOutTraffic you will be able to control the open ports automaticly(also timed intervals) at one central point, ie the gateway of your network.
Since IPcop already has a built in Proxy (Squid) it should be possible to stop flashgames. :)

Welcome to bizarro world, where you are guilty until proven innocent...
And why not stop there, you know since they're already looking, why not look for child porn, teorrist text, secret trader information, etc.

Your code looks legit to me :) (Damn summer holiday, I'm so rusty that I had to check it in netbeans).
Although I think the readability suffered a little so I formatted it a bit.
for(int i = 0; i < 10; i++)
for(int j = 0; j < i; j++)
System.out.print(i*100 +...
just FYI for other people stumbling on this thread.

The floppy isn't dead, but a modern OS should provide more than one way(source) to install drivers under the initial install.
Everything goes, just don't let the floppy be the only way :)
